Aaron Rodgers is under fire after the Green Bay Packers suffered a 27-10 defeat to the New York Jets on Sunday.

The quarterback finished with a 246-yard pass and a touchdown in the week 6 game, but also lost a fumble and failed to sustain long drives in the disappointing effort.

After what was initially a low-scoring battle, drawn 3-3 at half-time, the Packers failed to keep up with the Jets in the second half.

Rodgers was widely criticized by fans on social media throughout the game for his inconsistent play:

Shannon Sharpe @Shannon Sharpe

When is the next Peru vacation? Rodgers has to take it and go drink some more of that hallucination medicine. Maybe someone could go get it for him. It’s been really bad so far this season

The quarterback had some quality plays throughout the game, including a 25-yard touchdown pass to Allen Lazard.

Rodgers also entered with a thumb injury, which he suffered during last week’s game against the New York Giants. The offensive fights were still enough for some to call backup Jordan Love to see the pitch.

At this point, why not try Jordan Love? Nothing in this offensive game plan works. This performance is lifeless and the team is climbing.

The MVP is injured. Put 10 inside.

Love eventually came into play with 17 points in the final minutes and the audience showed their approval.

Even though Rodgers has won the MVP in each of the past two years, fans can quickly return after consecutive losses to the Giants and Jets.

The Packers are now 3-3 over the season, with the attack appearing to get worse each week. Green Bay will look to get back on track against struggling Washington commanders in week 7.
